Final Assessment Portfolio

Participation: 
Althroughout the semester I have always came prepared to class with gym clothes and runners, sometimes I  change out of these clothes after PE to prevent myself from smelling and feeling nasty the entire day xD I tried not to ever sit out during activities also in  Fitness even with my injuries because I still want to be able to participate with a few modifications. I ALMOST always try to do activities with positivity, effort and hella lot of motivation also towards activities im unfamiliar with. An example of this is when we played tchoukball, I had no idea what this activity was so I was quite clueless when I first played it. But I ended up loving the activity and I especially enjoyed it when the girls in our class came together and played it with our own rules that we've slightly modified. My skills towards some activities are limited because most of the activities we had done this semester were very new and unfamiliar to me, nonetheless it never stopped me from trying, enjoying and participating fully on the activity. On choice days I try to always choose what's best fitting for my goal or what I'm only able to do with my injured knee. Another good example is when we did locomotion outside on the lower field; That was the first fitness I've done properly in almost a month so I pushed myself pretty hard which also had caused my knee to cramp therefore, I had to stop a few times to rest my knee towards the end of it. I was proud of myself that day because I knew I really pushed myself in a good way that I felt good after the workout and in bad way that my knee was in so much pain. I believe i deserve a 20% in this category.

Social Responsibility and Contribution to the Class:
Throughout this semester I've to talked to every one in class even if it's just once or twice throughout the semester. I did struggle quite a bit trying to approach the guys in our class and being able to voice out my opinion when they were taking lead, but all is good. During games i try my best to get everyone involved in the activity and make sure they enjoy as much the rest of class do. For example during a choice day Neeha and myself took lead in splitting up the teams and explains how the activity worked. During the game I tried to talk to the grade8/9 girls who were alone or even just the once that didn't look interested in playing the activity and convinced them to go up at least twice and actually participate fully on the game, which they did !! Also one time before I got all injured we had a choice on either playing hockey or going up in the weight room; I decided to go up in the weight room and asked Miriam if she wanted to join me since she didn't really have anyone to go with. OH MAAAN Ima just say it was one of my favourite gym days because I was able to get to know her and seeing her trying her best to follow along with my workouts just truly inspired me. Ever since grade8 I've always been 100% honest about my fitness scoring when I'm being asked because there shouldn't be a reason for me to be lie or hide about my fitness scores because the only person I'd be lying to is myself. Im personally fine if I'm getting 8 on a beep test and not 10+ because I know that my body ain't made for that xD but I do know my strengths. No shame I actually love my body, I have my weaknesses and I have my strengths but don't we all... Ima be honest and say I actually love my "weaknesses" because of these I'm able to challenge myself and strive for improvement. For these reasons i believe i deserve a 21% in this category.

Healthy Living:
This semester I've learned a lot about my body and how to live a healthy life physically even after PE10. Previously  I did not care at all about being "healthy" and taking an active role in my health because I used to be in most of the sports clubs and even dance from grade8-9 when I was still in JH. It was just this year that I started with my goals of boosting my stamina and keeping a good pace to prolong my runs; I've improved in this area a lot because going to practices for Rugby helps with this because most of our warm ups and activities that we do to practice for our games are types that helps us to keep running throughout the duration of the game without stopping. About 2-3 months ago I've started a routine of doing at home workouts by Blogilates at least 4 times a week, going for a run if it's a good day and going on hikes more often as summer season approaches. This summer Ima try to improve on my healthy diet which right now it ain't that good, so it'll be my goal to improve that by the end of summer vacation ! Overall I know that I've learned so much about my body than I ever did in any this year and I've grown to make better choices about my health, which include somewhat better diet plan, regular workouts fitting for my goals and dancing of course xD. Overall i deserve a 22% in this category. 


Digital Portfolio and Reflective Skills:
Throughout the semester I am constantly posting in my blog with digital evidence of my workouts and activities that I mention . I tried posting atleast once a week but missed some weeks without posting blogs for no reason, therefore I try to make up for it by posting 2 the following week. Ive blogged all my fitness scores with proper reasoning as to why the outcome of my fitness test results are the way they are. I have also blogged about my personal workouts and activities I've done with my sister, and friends. I try to have images with my posts and I will TRY to post more evidence on my future posts fort the remaining of the semester. Overall I think I deserve 22% in this category because i think that most of my posts are quality blogs that I try to elaborately explain how activities happen and what I felt after the activity or workout and attempt to provide evidence of i remember to, however i have yet  reached the goal of 30 posts so Ima be working on that.

 Oh maan. I'm pretty choked it's almost the end of the semester and that PE10 is coming to an end. Gym class is probably my favourite class this semester considering my other class I dread going to but when it comes to PE I'm always looking forward coming to class. Ima be honest I was kinda scared the first week or so because it was my first time having PE in sulli so I didn't know if the gym trashed were gonna be strict or like fun. Mr. Neufeld actually intimidated me because he is a fairly big guy considering I'm hella short. But now I learned that all PE teacher's purpose is to make sure that we teeanagers make healthy choice in our lives because we usual gravitate towards what's convince by which isn't the most healthy for us. I've also learned that I should really stop putting pressure on my knee and listening to Mr.Neuf about resting it rather than pressuring it. Also I've learned that I'm able to set a goal and achive it if i work hard and I live up to it. I'm sad that this semester is almost at its end, but I will never forget the lessons I've learned along the way. Mr. Neuf you're so da awesome for always motivating us to work harder each day. U DA REAL MVP for putting up with a bunch of rowdy grade10s.. U SURVIVED  xD

Volunteer x Tynehead Park Adventures



So last Saturday Kathleen, Bronte and myself offered to volunteer for PraiseTeam's Yearend show "One Day" as parking traffic volunteers. Our job was to make sure there ain't no people trying park illegally, and directing people to parking vacant spots. Our roles were pretty easy considering there was three of us working together. Afterwards, we walked to a bubble tea place nearby and just hung out and cooled ourselves down because of how warm it was outside. A couple minutes later we decided to kill time and venture out around Pacific Academy so we went on the bridge that crosses over Highway 1 and it led us to Tynehead Park. First thing that caught our attention was a trail way that had a cute tunnel made out of greenery. We walked til the end of the trail way for 1hr because everytime my friends and I found a cute bridge, plant, animal or tree we would stop and take a picture of it and with it xD going back it only took us 20min which was pretty crazy xD ahhahaha. We didn't expect the trial to be that long so we were pretty exhausted after that because we were all unprepared for it xD Nonethless it was very calming and such a peaceful walk whcuh was much needed before I start my crazy week filled with homework! 

Final Fitness Test!

ALRIGHTY! I did not know that today was fitness testing so I was quite in shock. So these are my results fam..

Beep test
Beginning of semester: 7.1
Latest: 8.0
I was so proud of myself for reaching that considering I haven't been excercising recently due to my messed up knee xD After this I felt my knee shaking and becoming unstable which was an indication that I overworked them which was my fault xD Nonetheless I felt really great after the beep test because I knew I did my best and I could barely talk after it. I think what really helped my beep test improve were the warm ups I was doing before I did the testing. We would do those warm ups before Rugby practices or games and it helped a lot with our pace and speed.

There isn't really a drastic improvement in speed for my t-test but I'm not as concerned because I expected to do worse than what I had done considering I had shaky knee and felt unstable.

This is the area of fitness testing I'm proud of the most because flexibility tests are always my strongest.

... I left out a few of the fitness testing because I  wass not able to do all of them. A friend was not feeling well so I had to be one of the girls to assist her to the office so they could take care of her there. By the time I came back I only had a under 10min to do the rest of my fitness testing so I just did what I could and what had no line. Day after fitness testing my legs were very sore particularly my knee. I literally could not stand up and balance myself or else I would fall down on the floor because of how weak and unstable my knees felt. I could walk around in them now but there are times where I just feel like I'm about to fall and that's when I would sit myself down xD but I honestly could care less because I was so proud of my fitness results and I cannot believe this is my last fitness testing of the semester.

Modified Kickball

Wednesday of this week we had a choice of modified kickball or mini soccer game. I had chosen to do modified kickball because I've never really done it so I wanted to learn how it's played ! The concept was apparently alike to cricket, but I don't know how to play cricket so I just tried to understand during demo. This day I wasn't in the mood to do anything at all because my knee was cramping and it was causing me so much whenever I would run or put pressure unto it. I really liked how some students in our class would encourage students to go up which really pushes them to try the activity. An example of this is Danny, he would volunteer me up to kick and actually participate in the activity which I did xD some people might get pissed when people call them out for activities but in my opinion it's just a way for them to try and help you get involve in the activity. When it was my turn I was constantly getting distracted by the pain on my kne therefore I wasn't able to actually try my hardest when kicking or even just running towards the ball when it was getting kicked. Afterwards, I didn't really feel like it did anything to my body to improve it but nonetheless it was a fun activity especially does who likes to run and kick kickballs.

Adventures with BUNSO

So yesterday (Monday, May25) I was literally just on my desk all morning working on homeworks and projects. I felt so gross just sitting there so I thought of walking around the neighbourhood for fun xD I dragged my sister along with me so I ain't bored ! We just started along 64 and went on random turns and I basically just followed her lead cause I wouldn't know where to go. We ended up walking for 2 hours discovering random pathways and small parks. I just really needed that walk to get my mind off of homework for a bit and at the same time getting my mini workout in because we had pro-d therefore missing a day of PE. BTW . BUNSO  means/is the youngest member of the family.

Tchoukball

YO THIS ACTIVITY HAS SUCH A COMPLICATED SPELLING TO ITS NAME... I struggled finding out how to spell it, then I realized I should've just googled it. HEH. ANYWAYS. Today it was kind of a choice day but not really. We had a choice between indoor Soccer and tchoukball. I chose tchoukball of course because last time I played it I had so much fun !! We were grouped pretty quickly considering half of us wore dark colours half of us wore lighter colors, so that's how we divided ourselves. NO NEED FOR PINNIES! We followed the general rules for half of the time we were playing the game until we started to get bored of the rules and decided to allow  intercepting. Because in addition of the intercepting rule I started to feel competitive and really in to the game, but at the same time having fun. It was great to see my team and the other team high-5ing their teammates whenever they get a point or even if they missed the shot. Everyone got along so well and it was great to see that no one felt out and everyone had chance to have their hand on the ball and throw it! 

Choice Day

Alrighty! We had a few activities planned out for us which we had to chose to do. Our choices were capture the flag, badminton, indoor ball hockey and weight room. I chose to go to the weight room. I didn't actually lift and use any of the equipment upstairs, but I did dance! I thought that it would be a great day to finally start creating choreo for my cousin's cotillion dance on her Debut and surprise dance performance for her by her cotillioners. A Debut is an entering to womanhood event when a teenage girl turns 18 on her birthday. Firstly, I did a light warm up by doing butt kicks, high knees, lunges, squats and jumping jacks. Secondly, I started listening to the song mix my other cousin put together for her cotillion and surprise production, from there I started thinking of choreo ideas. Honestly, it was so much harder than I expected to create 2 separate choreo. But I tried to put a few pieces together and ended up finishing 1/4 of the choreo for the cotillion and a little bit of the surprise production. After all the dancing I had done I felt so sweaty due to high temperature in the weight room and my legs (especially my knee) were getting a bit shaky because I haven't put that much pressure towards my legs/ knee in weeks. This is definitely a work in progress and I can't wait till I'm able to finish everything and I can finally teach the choreo because the Debut is approaching real quick. LOL

Locomotion!

It was really warm out today so I wished we had done something a little more chill for fitness. Fitness for today was Locomotion which is a really great full body workout, in my opinion. It's not the first that we've done this so I had an idea what we had to do and the intensity of the workout was pretty much up to us as to how hard we will push ourselves. I thought I was going to be lazy and not try at all because the weather made me lose motivation for some reason. I wasn't also suppose to be doing fitness for it will apply more pressure to my broken knee therefore causing more pain, but I totally forgot about it and just did the fitness xD OOPs.  I didn't realize until halfway through locomotion that I was going full out and I was sweating so much xD Though I did noticed that I was starting to slow down and was having trouble catching my breathe. I also stopped and skipped about 3-4 workouts towards the end because I was starting to feel some pain and cramping  towards my knee, which was expected considering I wasn't suppose to do fitness . I still tried to go back whenever I didn't feel the pain on my knee. After fitness I felt exhausted, sweaty but proud of myself that I was finally able to do fitness again !

Fitness Friday

I was in such a good mood this day! Weather want too hot or too cold in the morning, which east perfect !! We were given a chance to chose either running intervals around the lower field or yoga. I was really really REALLY hoping I would do the running interval... But Sneha and Neeha remembered that I my knee was nowhere near okay so dragged me into yoga.. Yoga was also the recommended fitness that Mr.Neufeld placed me to do just so I don't put anymore pressure than I already have before on my knees. (I was just being really stubborn, wanting to run). We started with some simple yoga poses and as time goes by the complexity of the poses and actions being told to be done were getting more complicated, therefore challenging us to push forward. Doing yoga wasn't too bad  as I thought it would have been. I discovered that I'm able to put plant my feet over  my head, talk my head with my foot and many more. I already knew that I was quite flexible but it was great that I discovered and learned new ways to improve my flexibility. After yoga, I honestly felt so sleepy especially due to the fact we ended yoga laying down on the mat for almost 2 minutes. I wouldn't mind doing yoga again but it wouldn't be my first choice.. But I found it very calming and relaxing to do after a long week filled with homework and tests.!

R.U.N.

DA WEATHER WAS SO FIIINE! So I thought "AYE WHY NOT GO FOR A RUN" ! Realistically I'm not allowed to run due to my injured knee but I couldn't pass it up, it's so nice out!!! There were a few times where I had to slow down and lightly jog just so I don't further damage my knee xD I didn't have a specific route of where I wanted to run so I just went with it. I started running a little over 5pm and I returned home around 5:40pm. Afterwards, I just did a few arm and leg stretches. I hope to find time again to run more after school and just taking advantage of the warm weather !

Keeping up with Goals

Hi FAM! Lately I've been thinking about the Goal I made in the beginning of the year and I've found/learned what works for my body that targets my goal. Not too long ago after I made that post I tried out for Rugby not knowing how much I will love the sport. My goal of toning my legs were  getting worked up with all the running and leg warm ups we do prior to practice. Also I notice that because of Rugby I'm able to keep a good pace when I'm running now. My body has gotten used to the concept of running for a long time at a consistent pace when I do so during a Rugby game. On another hand, I've also noticed that I've been more exposed to dancing than I ever had before. I've seen, learned and have been inspired by many choreo from several mega crews and choreographers from different parts of the world through YouTube. It's hard to keep up with some or even most choreography so I just enjoy to watch them and if any day I need to come up with choreo it's as simple as watching them for inspiration. I personally use dancing as my alternative workout because first, it's fun second, I always give my all when it comes to dancing... Well at least I try to . I know for a fact that I dance almost everyday at the  dance studio at lunch, it may not be full out but it definitely helps! I still have a long way in achieving my goal, so far so good ! Something I'd like to add to my goal is having a good diet, a healthy diet gives your body the nutrients it needs to perform physically .

Copy Choreo

SEE MY ALLITERATION UP THERE! Yeah that made me happy. LOL I have no chill. ANYWAYS. Lately I noticed that I've been getting choreo inspirations from other Mega crew dance groups. One of the dance groups my friend Shawn and I have been loving the choreo of is from GRV. They're style of dancing is more of Shawn's style but I still learned the choreo anyway since Shawn seemed really eager to teach it to me. The part of the choreo he know was the Flexin and Finnesin part by Iggy, which is had a very sassy yet hype choreo to it. My other friends are getting tired of hearing it but I personally enjoy the dance, it requires full body movement and a lot of levels when dancing. Shawn, Kathleen (anther friend of mine who is practically my twin) and  i are trying to learn more of the choreo!!

Yoga pls

Oh man I was so excited for PE today knowing it was choice day ! Then I realized I couldn't do any of the fun activities because of my sprained ankles and knee. I went up to Mr.Neuf asking what he would recommend me to do, because if it was up to me I would have played volleyball (which is a bad idea) but instead he recommended for me to go up in the weight room and do yoga. I personally am not very fond of yoga because I don't like being in one place and holding a pose, I like to always be moving if I were to be workout. PLUS, IT WAS SO CROWDED IN THE WEIGHT ROOM 😂. Anyways.. I searched up "Yoga" on YouTube and chose the first one I saw. As I did the yoga I didn't really feel my body working up too much which was expected because it's not an intense rate workout. It felt more like I was stretching my body rather than yoga, which I was fine with. After my yoga I didn't really feel anything (no soreness or pain). With 10min left in class I went downstairs afterwards and sat with Mr.Neuf as we watched the guys play ball hockey.

I was honestly disappointed of myself that I wasn't able to beat my previous beep test. I think it's because I was not mentally prepared for it and I didn't have the mindset and determination that I can go further than before. Next time I will try to pull through and not give up as easily. On the other hand, I was proud of myself as usual for being able to do the Seat and Reach with my palms and getting a 5. Also, it was my first time trying the Balance and Vericle leap, therefore I thought I did a pretty good job considering it was my first .
After the Fitness Test I only felt really sweaty but I did not feel any pain, or feeling of pulled muscle. Which was a change because never have I ever not  been in pain after Fitness before. I'm pretty sure it was because it was not my best performance of Fitness.

Dance Week!

Better the late than never! LOL. Oh man my favourite week just passed, dance week.... Ive always loved dance week ever since I first had it back in JH when I was in grade8. I have always loved dance in general. I've been dancing since I was 3 and thats when I started Contemporary, Ballet and Tap dance. I started dancing HipHop at the age of 11 up till now.  I personally love learning and exploring new dances and I definitely learned a lot during this dance week. Monday, we did Jazz which is not really the type of dance I personally like but I enjoyed learning the choreo and how its quite different from what I have known of Jazz dancing, which is a lot of leg work. Tuesday, everyone in our block did line dancing and it was really boring at first, to be honest. But as we learn new steps for the other songs the steps/choreo got more complicated, which really challanged me to focus on the dance. Wednesday, we did Bhangra. This is the form of dance I have never done before aside from the one in just dance, yes I have a bhangra piece in Just Dance. I love how this dance require a full body movement which really lets every muscle and parts of your body workout. I found the dance very fun and the energy coming from Mr.Neuf was very contagious. Thursday, was HIPHOP!!! My favourite day amongst all!! At first I thought we were going to dance to the song Rather Be, because I saw the seniors dancing to it at the dance studio. Turns out Dinand was actually planning to teach a different piece for our block. I was still excited nonetheless because when I heard the song and I knew it was going to be very HYPE. The piece itself was actually fairly easy to learn (in my opinion) and is very hype which I always enjoy xD In conclusion (yuck english term) its no surprise that my favourite day  was HipHop. I enjoyed all the dance pieces that I learned and I always felt good after doing the dance. This is the type of workout I personally love, ones that can really work up my body and have fun at the same time.

Midterm

Active Learning-Reflection


During PE this year, how have you shown you are prepared and willing to participate in a variety of activities?
Thus far, I have shown that I am prepared by always coming prepared to class with my colorful Gym clothes and very bright runners xD I have shown that I am willing to participate in a variety of activities by coming to gym class with positive energy and an open mind.

On what days have you participated to your best effort and why? 
I find myself participating in activities and giving my best effort almost everyday, recently. I think it's because I told myself before spring ended that I would make the best of the few months remaining in this semester and just explore more/ take risk rather than sticking to what I have already known. 

What days have been a struggle for you and why? 
Before spring break and even up till now I find myself struggling with pacing myself during our runs on fitness days. I think it is because I tend to go fast in the beginning rather than mildly running and keeping it consistent throughout the duration of our running time.


How do you contribute to the overall success to the class?
I think I should be more motivating towards my peers especially those who tend to be more shy. 

What kind of attitude do you bring and why? 
I like to think that I bring positivity towards others because I am always smiling, encouraging others and very hyper xD oops

How do you interact with the other students in our class?
I try to be with the student who are usually shy and I do the activities with them so they would enjoy Gym class as much as I do ! 

Describe your participation during fitness days-have you been able to push yourself physically?
Before spring I had no motivation to push myself physically because I was just getting really lazy and I just couldn't wait till spring break. Now that the break is over we had only done 1 fitness day so far and it was the Pond Relay. I notice that during the Pond Relay I didn't walk at all which was a change that really made me feel a lot more proud of myself after I had done it. All I did was paced myself and kept it consistent throughout! 

 What type of fitness activities do you enjoy the most?
I personally enjoyed the hill run and yoga the most!

 What fitness goals do you have for the rest of the year?
My fitness goals are to boost my stamina and improve on my cardio.

What does "leadership" mean to you? 
My perspective of a "Leadership" is being able to take an average team of individuals and transform them into an extraordinary team. The best leader is the one who inspires, motivates and is a postive example to his/her peers. 

Who are the best leaders in our class-why? 
OMG. I'm so bad with names xD but there are always these 2-3 tall guys who steps in and take initiative in splitting the class into groups for activities and they never make anyone feel left out by making sure everyone gets a turn to play and have fun!

What improvements do you wish to make in PE by the end of the year? 
I wish to grow more in becoming a leader  in class and also to get to know everyone  In class because in my opinion it seems more fun if there are no awkwardness between students just because they don't know each other xD 

What are you the most proud of? 
I'm proud that I'm capable to do better and push myself more during PE class and that I am always sore the next day after fitness xD 

I think I deserve an A or a really high B with a percentage ranging from 83-89%. Because I come to class prepared with Gym clothes everyday, and I am consistent with my blog. All I really need to work on is pushing myself more, physically. -happy face-

All around workout

I'm Today we had a choice to workout in the weight room, play dodge ball, 4 corner soccer and outdoor activities. With me as a workout buddy was Miriam (I don't know if I'm spelling her name right) she was such an outgoing workout buddy. At first we chose to go up in the weight room to do a bit of workout based on a picture workout we chose off of google images. She followed the workout I had chosen so I had to modify some things for her but she managed to finish the entire workout. My legs in particular we're much more sore than my abs after the workout which was totally fine with me. 
Secondly, Miriam go tired of the workout so she wanted to losen up and danced. She asked me to teach her an easier version of the dance we had done last week from HipHop, which I was fine with. She found it hard to catch up with the Choreo so I just slowed it down and made the steps easier for her to do. I had  a great time teaching her and it was overall a great small cardio workout done. Lastly, with a few remaining time left in PE we both decided to go down and play dodge ball and four corner soccer. The game was fun and slightly competitive. T'was a fun day ! My legs are definitely still slightly sore. YIKES Good luck to me in rugby tomorrow xD

RUGBY

Game today against LA Matheson  was golden !!! I'm so proud of my team for having our first win of the season! 25-0 YOOOO! (This is our second game). The other team played well too, just that we are better xD I'm ecstatic for our other upcoming games left in the season. Every practice (rain or shine) and yelling from the coach is paying off because it is evident that our team has a better bond, better communication on the field and we all have definitely improved/grown compared to our first game. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better team ! Can't wait for our future games !!! GO STAARRRSSS!!  

... BTW I made friends from Matheson today before they had aggressively tackled my team and I xD their cool, well some of them..

Interim Report !!

I think I'm a G ! (I hope) 

So far, I am enjoying... 
- The variety of fitness we have done thus far in the course! 
- the activities we have played.
- The enthusiasm that ALMOST all of the students show every class.
- That Neuf joins our activities which then motivates the class just a little more xD

What I would like to be changed in the course... 
- EVERYBODY actually participating and enjoying the games and activities we do (yes I know sometimes I get lazy too) 
- Students posting more blogs (I actually enjoy reading others' blogs :)

Everyday in this PE class I find myself learning something new wether it be about my body, sports, fitness or PE in general which is one of the things I look forward to when I go to class. With the few remaining months left of the semester I want to improve on my stamina and really pushing myself pass my limits. This is my interim report and I don't know how to end this soooooooooo. Uhm. Mom and dad if you  read the entire thing , told you I'm not that FOB anymore LOL . KBYE HAVE A NICE DAY (smileyface)

Afterschool Adventure


So one afternoon my friends (Kathleen and Arianna) and I got bored so we decided to go for an Adventure ! Cause it sound more  cool that way...  Anyways, we ventured around the neighbourhood which led us to random bridges, forest and pathways. I've never really had the chance to just walk around the neighbourhood and familiarize myself ever since I moved so I was quite fascinated with every bridge I saw LOL. After this "adventure" it wasn't my legs that were sore it was my back because I had to carry my heavy textbooks and binders in my backpack!! Nonetheless, it was still worth the walk !!!!!! Picture would've been on point but Kathleen ruined it  .... JOKES ! Her turquoise backpack adds color to the image lol. FunFact: this is my current lock screen!! Hehe

Workout Pyramid

Last Friday we did this so called "workout pyramid" for fitness Friday. I have no idea if that's the actual name for it so don't quote me on that. It's a workout that consisted of squats, lunges, push-ups, sit-ups, shoulder press, burpees, and other workouts I currently cannot name. At the beginning of the workout it felt more like a warmup and didn't felt anything, YET. At the half time of the workout my legs starts to get sore and I've started sweating. By then I started to slow down and cheating/modifying some of the workouts to make them simpler #teamLazy. The following day my upper legs and lower back were so sore, but I kinda expected that already LOL. I honestly would've been more proud of myself if I hadnt modified any of the workouts and stayed consistent with my pace. Next time I will try to resist the urge of cheating/modifying the workouts. Honestly I've learned through this workout that the only person I'm cheating on is myself. Yeah that's right, I just got deep. Like 6 feet under deep. HEHE

Locomotion! #1

YAY FOR FITNESS TUESDAY! 

I honestly don't even know why I still have so much energy after doing the locomotion... Hehe . I kept hearing this morning that we were gonna do this so called "locomotion" for fitness, and had no idea what it was. First type of workout I thought of when I heard of it was cardio, I GUESSED RIGHT! Yay..... My energy this morning was way over everyone else's, probably because of the cookie I ate.. Oops. Actually NAH, I'm always too energetic. I'm getting off topic, back to fitness! Today's weather looked absolutely on point, but it felt not so on point. So the teacher's decided on doing fitness outside. The cold breeze and glaring sun balanced each other out so it wasn't too bad of a walk towards the upper parking. Everyone has gathered and it was time to start THE LOCOMOTION (doesn't it sound like a TV series?) . The first quarter of the time going over the cardio wasn't too bad and it felt more like a warmup. As time passes by I slowly felt the workout throughout my legs but most especially around my quads. The mini breaks in between helped so much with catching my break and cooling off for a bit. At the end of the locomotion my legs were so sore, I was sweaty and really thirsty. For the next locomotion I really want to work on pacing myself and breathing properly as I do the cardio. I also enjoyed the music being played it kept me somewhat distracted from all the soreness I was feeling during the workout. Nonetheless, I had fun doing the locomotion and it was definitely a very different expirience to what I have done in my previous school of what a fitness day would be like. OH and I looked like a watermelon for PE today (the colors not the shape).

I wasn't able to test my vertical jump and as well as get to the balance. 

Its been a while since I had done my last beep test, I was actually surprised I reached a 7.1 considering I didn't have PE for a year and half. I think my goal is to beat my personal best of 8.2 . To achieve my goal I will attempt to do more cardio and run outside more while enjoying the upcoming sunny weather. As for the other fitness activities t-test, plank and seat reach stayed consistent from my past fitness test. It was my first time to ever have push-ups as apart of fitness, felt kinda rusty and just did a modified push-up. I could honestly step up my push-ups game ! I am definitely looking forward to improving my fitness during this semester !

#Goals

AYE! So...
My goal for my body this semester is to possibly improve my skills in dancing and tone up my legs . Also to work on pacing myself when running.

I did the workout and it made me feel energized and sweaty afterwards (LOL), but so worth it. Next time I will push myself further and challenge myself to go over my limits.
